Important Links
- TIA is essential for paying for blobspace through PayForBlobs (PFB) transactions
- Developers can use TIA to bootstrap rollups without needing to issue their own token immediately
- TIA enables staking for network security and participation in governance
- Governance includes voting on network parameters and community pool allocation
- Community pool receives 2% of all Celestia block rewards
- At the conclusion of the Genesis Drop, unclaimed tokens (up to 45 million TIA) will be reallocated to claimants
- The official claiming process is only through genesis.celestia.org
- Tokens will be accessible directly in-wallet from Celestia’s first block
